So we are nearing the end of 2019 and honestly, the year has passed so quickly that it’s hard to figure out where we spent all the time. It would be fair to say that 2019 has been a great year for gamers as some very exciting games came out this year. In 2019, we have also seen a lot of improvements in gaming gadgets such as gaming chair and gaming desks. Developers, in particular, deserve a special tribute for creating engaging themes and characters that inspired and comforted every person who picked up the controller. You might have already got your hands on the popular releases of the year. We have compiled a list of some of the best releases of 2019 that have received good reviews of the gaming community and have also been appreciated by the critics.
  1. Apex Legends
Apex legends is arguably one of the best releases of 2019. The game was released suddenly and was revealed just minutes before its release. The team-based battle royal was released out of blue and took the entire gaming world by storm. What makes Apex legends a truly great game is the balls-to-the-walls gunplay. Skirmishes erupting into bullet storms, the use of 3v3s along with ping systems and powerful characters have amplified the game’s excitement levels to new heights. Released on May 14th by Asobo Studio, A Plague tale: Innocence offers a unique blend of action, adventure, stealth phases all mixed together in an original scenario. Set in 14th century France, the protagonist Amicia accompanied by her little brother hugo are trying to escape from the inquisition and black death terrorizing the French. The game’s multidimensional game-play makes its stealth affair much more interesting. Mystic mazes, transcendental back and a whole lot of mysteries unfold as our orphans run from the terrifying Inquisition. As the game moves forward, our little heroes will face an even greater danger: supernatural swarms of rats that appeared with the great plague infecting across cities and countryside. Emotion, drama, adventure; the game has a little bit of everything.

Control is another Landmark project by Remedy Entertainment. The game is developed by RE and published by 505 games. As to say, the storyline is creepy and revolves around the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), which is presented as a secret U.S. government agency assigned with the tasks to study phenomena that violate the laws of reality. The players get into the shoes of Jesse Faden – the agency’s new director and get to explore the Oldest House – the FBC’s paranormal New York headquarters to defeat a deadly enemy called HISS. As with Remedy previous projects, Control too is placed from a third-person perspective. What makes Control a great game is the threads that keep unraveling as you move on. It’s a wild and mystical exploration of one of the world’s most haunted buildings, interconnected storytelling stimulating crash into the paranormal.

In 2019, we have seen a lot of online action role-playing games and Tom Clancy’s Division 2 is by far considered as the most interesting and entertaining game of this particular kind. Division 2 is a sequel to its first edition, Division 1 and is set in dystopian Washington where the protagonist, an agent of Strategic Homeland Division tries to rebuild the city following the aftermath of a smallpox pandemic. Link’s awakening is a timeless Nintendo marvel. Nintendo has released the remake of the 1993 game for the Gameboy and it retains the original’s top-down perspective. The game offers you a “retro-modern” art style, toy-like cute characters and cool visuals that evoke the original game’s presentation on the Game Boy.
